ALBUM1:
tracks 1-20.
more electronic/sample based, more of a natural followup to LP3. this is the album we focus on FIRST I think. there's actually a fair bit of guitar on these songs. I think the difference may be more structural than instrumental. they are more patient, more loop based, more lyrical less prog. they generally don't travel as far from where they start as the next batch.
ALBUM 2: (maybe solo album)
tracks 23-46.
songs w/ more guitar emphasis. more melody focused, less lyrically focused. I think there is a lot of gold here and a lot of ways to make the songs make sense within the context of my discography. lots of opportunities for additional IRL instrumentation and arrangements on these songs (horns, strings, etc).
tracks 47-66 are just trash songs that won't come out anywhere but fun curiosities. listen thru if ur bored because one man's trash is another man's gold as the Bible says...
how we release these albums I think depends on where the project is after lp3. we could release them simultaneously and have it be like a Kid A/Amnesiac situation. we could do it as an actual double album. I say we don't worry about the release for now and focus on one recording one batch of songs at a time.
obv we won't have 20 songs on either album, you catch my drift we simply pick the best 13 or so songs! :- )

amber have you seen the state of the school?
the fire marshall's playin' it cool
tho he's ecstatic fanning the blaze
she hopes her hidden cabinet is spared
I mean:
her hidden cabinet's all that remained

This was the American landscape that lay open to the virus: in prosperous cities, a class of globally connected desk workers dependent on a class of precarious and invisible service workers; in the countryside, decaying communities in revolt against the modern world; on social media, mutual hatred and end(In the months following Pink Moon's release, Drake became increasingly asocial and distant.[69] He returned to live at his parents' home in Tanworth-in-Arden, and while he resented the regression, he accepted that his illness made it necessary. "I don't like it at home," he told his mother, "but I can't bear it anywhere else.")less vituperation among different camps; in the economy, even with full employment, a large and growing gap between triumphant capital and beleaguered labor; in Washington, an empty government led by a con man and his intellectually bankrupt party; around the country, a mood of cynical exhaustion, with no vision of a shared identity or future.

“Shout out to Courtney Love for watching,” Post Malone said at one point, one of those sentences that would have scanned as a schism in the pop cultural universe two months ago but now feels like one of the more normal things to happen on a given day.

It didn’t matter about the birthday cake, which was cut into rations. All she cared about was the bouncy castle. Immature, yes, her parents had puzzled from it. But she had the men erect it and the people entered bewitched and exited ecstatic. She held her punch and i said “i want to put this story on the album.” of course i’d been talking to her about this album for well over an hour. “This is the scene it’s all going to be about.” “You’re crazy, Watson” Jennifer Aniston said as she ran back over to her bouncy castle. “Yeah” I said. “But i’m a genius, Jennifer.” Arnold Schwarzenegger came out from the tall cake and shook my hand. “It sounds like an interesting project,” he says
It is March 2020 and I’ve channeled the spirit of Paul Revere. As Los Angeles erupts into rioting and mass fentanyl suicide, I dive headfirst into the cabin of the Mazda, and gun the packed ship upwards along the vacant I5 corridor. Every smouldering city under Gavin Newsom looks further gone than the last. The navigation takes me on some perverse fantasy detour thru post-apocalyptic San Francisco. It’s been a long time coming but now it’s solidified. The mayor and her delegates have chomped their cyanide pills and now the streets and bridges offer rotting cars beside silent, beautiful Victorian manors. Still in full color, the sky is blue and the sun is yeelow, gleaming indifferently. I am nervous about San Franscisco County. The shelter in place order says no one shall be out on the street without proper reason. -----BLEEEPPPP--------
For years in LA I have lived for high speed and hard sex in a blackout frenzy which no young American could denigrate. In our culture of excess I sought the most insane, unexplored corridors. Chavionistic romps through the bitter forests of lust, contamination, too-young suicide, too-good blowjobs that leave explosions on this cast of characters flown from every corner of the globe, all with the same indelible fever. I come to now, in this chaotic month handed down by God, March 2020, and I’m withdrawing from all of it in the penthouse on the side of the mountain. My very own Bavarian Alps/

One song thats just saxophones… orchestrated like the end of Los Ang
Oh do you have time
to linger
for just a little while
out of your busy
and very important day
for the goldfinches
that have gathered
in a field of thistles
for a musical battle,
to see who can sing
the highest note,
or the lowest,
or the most expressive of mirth,
or the most tender?
Their strong, blunt beaks
drink the air
as they strive
melodiously
not for your sake
and not for mine
and not for the sake of winning
but for sheer delight and gratitude –
believe us, they say,
it is a serious thing
just to be alive
on this fresh morning
in the broken world.
I beg of you,
do not walk by
without pausing
to attend to this
rather ridiculous performance.
It could mean something.
It could mean everything.
It could be what Rilke meant, when he wrote:
You must change your life.eles Out there
-
you must leave now
take what you need you think will last
but whatever you wish to keep, you better grab it fast
yonder stands your orphan with his gun
crying like a fire in the sun
look out, the saints are coming through
& it's all over now, baby blue
the highway is for gamblers, better use your sense
take what you have gathered from coincidence
the empty handed painter from your streets
Is drawing crazy patterns on your sheets
the sky, too, is folding under you
and it's all over now, baby blue
all your seasick sailors, they are rowing home
your empty handed armies are going home
your lover who just walked out the door
has taken all his blankets from the floor
the carpet, too, is moving under you
and it's all over now, baby blue
so taste the mustard rain & apologize to me!!
the world is ending
whatever
i drive down the highway
the sun is still shining
but i can tell
the world is ending
all the cars are merging
i signal and switch lanes
remembering the park
i sat at with someone
the world
is ending
it’s clear as day
i tried to calm down my mind was racing
Laying next to what’s her name
Who reminded me too much of what’s her name
Who’s deep in love with what’s his name
Who was my best friend we told all our secrets to
Today’s the day I lose my mind
At long last
*m** say’s she religious, her brother’s driving her to church
she texts me a picture of her legs showing thru the destroyed jeans
I said “god’s not going to be able to focus”
And neither can I
the arcane echo of my kiss
You grab it and suck it and we’re off
Cascading somewhere
I wish I could be more specific
But all we have is picnics
In the undulating sun
It burns in a strange configuration
What does it look like to you?
I’m gonna miss everyone
I’m gonna miss everyone
